Work Package 8 (WP8) examines novel threats including synthetic biology, synthetic opioids and dual use technologies. Members of WP8 have organised an expert workshop to take place in Norway on 8 – 10 March to discuss and evaluate two literature reviews they have been working on; one covering synthetic biology and one covering synthetic opioids.

The workshop will be attended by members of WP8 and invited experts from a range of organisations including EMCDDA; ECDC; JRC; CBB; DSTL and FFI as well as leading academics. The workshop will allow WP8 to listen to the latest research, to discuss their findings with world leading experts and to ensure their literature reviews are relevant to those most likely to need them.
