Kicking Off with Joint Action Terror

Joint Action TERROR launched its activities at the kick-off meeting of all Joint Action partners on 7 May 2021. Due to epidemic circumstances the meeting was held on-line.
Bengt Skotheim from the Coordinator organisation, the Norwegian Directorate of Health, was leading the kick off.

Participants were welcomed by Dr. Bjørn Guldvog, Director General, Norwegian Directorate of Health. Mr. Bent Høie, Minister of Health and Health Care Services, provided the Norwegian Perspective on Cooperation and dr. Wolfgang Philipp, Head of Unit 03, Health Emergency Response and Vaccines from DG SANTE offered the European perspective on the JA TERROR.

Work Package Leaders presented the main objectives and aims of activities in the Work Packages. More detailed information on Work Packages is available here.

Last section of the meeting was dedicated to highlighting experiences, useful for the development of JA TERREOR. Experiences from Joint Action SHARP were presented by SHARP Project Manager, Dr. Anna Katz from the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare. Dr. Nicholas Brooke from Public Health England gave a presentation on Public Health Response to CBRN Incidents: A Case Study from the Salisbury and Amesbury incidents of 2018.
